We are Eco Dfndrs

Kalena Young at Eco-Dfndr summer camp

Hi, I'm Kalena. I'm an Eco-Dfndr.

I am twelve years old. I have lived on Hornby Island my entire life and I can't imagine living anywhere else. My passions include music, photography and drawing. I have just started writing my own songs and one of them is featured in my video.

Being outside always makes me smile, even just going for a walk. I love being surrounded by nature and watching all the wonderful animals that create these beautiful habitats. Just recently I have been finding out a lot more about global warming and climate change and the terrible things that are happening to our earth. I want to help and do everything I can to change our future and help save the animals that live on our planet from becoming extinct.

We stand for world peace.

We are Eco Dfndrs. We create, share and collaborate on ideas to get our message out. We don’t just say we care for our environment, we do more. We make films to open people’s eyes, start conversations and inspire action.
