I divide my time between Hornby Island and Comox, BC. I attend the Fine Arts E-cademy and Mark Isfeld Secondary School. I like playing the guitar, painting and dancing. I was happy to have the opportunity to learn more about environmental issues locally and globally as an Eco-DFNDR. After learning more about microplastics and plastic vortexes in the ocean, my family and I are working harder to reduce our plastic usage.
A poem exploring my connection to the ocean and the danger there is in losing it.
At camp, I got to help my friend Kalena make this music video for her original song that explores her feelings on the state of the environment.
Environmental activists aged 12–15 are invited to apply for a one week all expenses paid Environmental Action Camp on Denman Island, BC. Spend a week creating compelling media – music, drama, documentary, and dance – all with a focus on defending the environment.Learn more about camp
We are Eco Dfndrs. We create, share and collaborate on ideas to get our message out. We don’t just say we care for our environment, we do more. We make films to open people’s eyes, start conversations and inspire action.
